This database is intended for Districts, States or nonprofits to identify potential tutoring partners, for potential tutors to identify potential employers and for tutoring organizations to have a clearer understanding of the landscape and to identify interventions that might be useful to their programs, if needed.

Learning Bridge was created to help close the educational gap between children in foster care and their peers by providing one-on-one tutoring for kids who are struggling in school. The program began in August 2020. In February 2021 the nonprofit Learning Bridge that was created to sustain and grow the program. Our target demographic is youth in foster care in Kindergarten to 12th grade in Travis, Hays and Williamson Counties. The program is unique in its focus on foster kids, providing consistent academic support and coaching geared to their needs.
Littera partners with schools and districts to design, deliver, monitor, and adjust data-driven high-impact tutoring programs that take their assessment data, schedules, and specific student populations into account. NSync Accelerated Learning Solutions offers in-school tutoring, after school tutoring, and summer school tutoring to provide the support students need to catch up on their learning that was interrupted due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. SiSTEM offers online or in-person tutoring sessions in a group or privately. Students age 4 and up can get academic help in science, math, english and foreign language subjects. Our online tutoring sessions are accessible through your smartphone, tablet, or computer right here on our website.
Springboard's recipe for impact is a method we call Family-Educator Learning Accelerators (or FELAs). FELAs are 5-10-week cycles during which teachers and parents team up to help kids reach learning goals. Programming combines personalized reading instruction for PreK-3rd graders, weekly workshops training parents as reading coaches, and professional development for educators.
The sudden switch to virtual learning impacted all K-12 students, the ones whose education was impacted most were elementary and middle schoolers. Our team saw an opportunity to build a community to teach young students and help older students meet their graduation requirements through Student Power.
Founded in 2011 and home-grown in Philly, TEACH offers exceptional tutoring and educational programming K-College. TEACH’s tutoring approach starts with building strong relationships to promote both academic and social-emotional development through creative, engaging lessons. Teens Tutor Teens is designed to allow youth to guide and educate youth on their educational journey. K-12 youth and those seeking GED assistance are paired with Teen Tutors who have undergone rigorous vetting and instruction approval to work with students. Tier One Learning Solutions was launched in Fall 2020 out of a sincere passion and need to educate children with integrity by providing an intervention-based tutorial service that goes beyond homework assistance. The idea was brought upon by frustrations and obstacles that my husband and I, both Certified Educators, encountered while teaching in various school districts in Texas.School districts classify students with academic deficits as Tier II and Tier III students performing below grade level in core subjects and school-wide assessments given at various times throughout the school year. Tier II and Tier III students are recommended for intervention-based tutorials during school hours but often do not receive these services consistently throughout the school year. Being former classroom teachers, we understand first-hand the need to provide intervention-based tutoring in schools; however, schools often do not have adequate staffing, the proper curriculum and additional educational materials to provide intervention-based tutoring. We have now made it our mission that every child will be a “Tier One Learner” by providing intervention-based tutoring in Reading and Math.
We have successively provided reputable tutoring and test-preparation services to a wide demographic of students and programs for over 10 years. Working with other programs has allowed us to collect extensive data and insight which we have used to create individualized strategies needed to see improvement and achieve student success. We take a comprehensive approach on learning which is constructed through the facilitation of engaging instruction as well as collaboration with teachers, schools, and experienced instructors with proven track records. The TMS platform helps students connect with the right tutors at the right price. TMS is parent-friendly, allowing parents to search for tutors based on geographical location and subject. With TMS, families can schedule tutors online at the time that works best for them, even last minute. TMS makes it easy to decide which tutors might best fit a student's needs by assigning badges to tutors who are trained or certified by their institutions, such as High GPA or Tutor Essential Trained.
School districts can opt-in at no cost to have a TMS site built for their community that boasts a collection of tutors chosen specifically for their students. School districts can choose to allow local certified teachers to work as tutors on the platform. School districts can create vouchers with local or federal funds to support specific student groups by providing tutoring hours. TMS hosts a data dashboard for districts or school administrators with many customizations and tools to monitor teacher and student usage.
Tutor Matching Service has developed a 100% free online tutoring platform called GoBoard (www.GoBoard.com), the platform for all online TMS-booked sessions. GoBoard combines video conferencing, an interactive work canvas, and educational tools like a graphing calculator, an equation editor, molecular bonds creator, and much more. TMS creates unique links to session-specific GoBoard rooms, giving tutors and students easy access to a workspace that saves their progress for future sessions. For parents, this service to directly connect with state-specific college students and certified teachers is undoubtedly the least expensive way to find a high-quality tutor. There are many highly effective tutors available now on TMS for less than $15 per hour.
We establish a tutoring program in each school district led by high school students that match high school student tutors to middle school and elementary school tutees.
Students in K-12 are paired with high school students who excel in math and English; they meet on a fixed weekly basis, with students meeting with the same tutor each time, ensuring that the student and tutor are able to build meaningful, high-impact relationships with one another. Frequency: TbT tutoring programs will meet for 2-4 60-minute sessions per week.
Group Size: Consistent, leveled small groups are limited to 5 students with similar academic needs.
Personnel: Small groups are led by the same Teacher Tutor for the duration of the program, allowing for relationship building and responsive instruction. All Teacher Tutors are credentialed or experienced, professional educators with extensive classroom teaching experience, related degrees, and training in culturally responsive instruction.
Measurement: Programs are anchored around formative assessments to identify key skills and monitor progress.
Curriculum: The tutoring program is aligned to school programming and needs, allowing for rigor, continuity, and alignment to state standards.
TbT designs programs consultatively by meeting with school and district staff to determine student counts, grade levels, subject areas to serve, and scheduling. TbT then spends time before the tutoring program launches to determine leveled student groupings and focus skills / standards based on student data, align content to school needs, and select and train Teacher Tutors with professional backgrounds that match the students they will serve. TbT implements skills-based tutoring aligned to applicable state standards. Tutorfly is a high-impact tutoring company powered by Kip McGrath Education Centres. We provide both in person and synchronous virtual tutoring sessions for K-12 students. Tutorfly is equipped with our own learning management system complete with full audio, video, screen-share, and chat capabilities. Within our platform, students can begin working with a tutor in a small group but can then be sent to a “breakout room” to work independently or individually with the tutor. We can fully integrate with most single sign-on and rostering providers to ensure data privacy of students and ease of access. We provide parents, teachers, and administrators easy access to monitor student progress with an online dashboard.
We offer tutoring in all core K-12 subjects typically in 30 or 60-minute sessions, 3 or more times per week. Our proprietary curriculum is used by tutors to complement classroom instruction and facilitate the development of individualized learning plans. Weekly reports emailed to teachers, parents, and administrators will document student progress. Tutorfly works closely with our school partners to accurately measure the impact of tutoring on student outcomes. We do this by utilizing a variety of pre-assessment tools to benchmark student performance and then compare this with post-assessment data.
