This database is intended for Districts, States or nonprofits to identify potential tutoring partners, for potential tutors to identify potential employers and for tutoring organizations to have a clearer understanding of the landscape and to identify interventions that might be useful to their programs, if needed.

For more than 20 years, the JCC has trained and paired hundreds of volunteer tutors with academically vulnerable students in Manhattan's public schools through our Literacy and Math tutoring programs. Their
objective is to help raise elementary, middle, and high school students’ reading and math scores to grade level. The majority of students come from low-income households and under-resourced communities, including students living in low-income housing facilities and in domestic violence and homeless shelters.
Masteryhour.org is a free, online tutoring program for K12 students, led by volunteers from colleges and universities, currently offered in English and Spanish. We use a mastery-based approach to ensure students advance at their own rate. All our tutors are trained in innovative teaching techniques including inquiry-based learning. anti-bias education, child-centered communication differentiating learning and cultivating a growth mindset. Volunteer professors and math teachers come to observe tutoring sessions and offer feedback and support to the student tutor volunteers. All the tutoring happens in the Mastery Hour zoom room. Students can drop in whenever they need tutoring and are paired with tutors in breakout rooms - or can stay in the main room for study hall (occasionally asking a question as needed). While we're starting with math offered twice a day in our zoom room, we hope to add more subjects and hours until Masteryhour.org is available 24 hours a day for free to any child who needs it.

OnYourMark is an early literacy tutoring service providing virtual, individualized, high dosage instruction focused
on foundational early literacy skills. Our program is grounded in the science of reading, and we partner with
schools as a complement to the literacy instruction already in place to ensure students get the foundational

The platform also provides clients the ability to collect and report data associated with all learning session types for attendance and assessment tracking purposes.
Our program utilizes high-school and college students to assist younger children that don't have the educational support they need to succeed and reach their potential in school. All meetings we hold are virtual as our tutors and students live across the country. Our sessions are usually held on ZOOM, and schedules for sessions are very flexible as they are agreed upon by the parent/guardian of the student and the tutor. Springboard's recipe for impact is a method we call Family-Educator Learning Accelerators (or FELAs). FELAs are 5-10-week cycles during which teachers and parents team up to help kids reach learning goals. The TMS platform helps students connect with the right tutors at the right price. TMS is parent-friendly, allowing parents to search for tutors based on geographical location and subject. With TMS, families can schedule tutors online at the time that works best for them, even last minute. TMS makes it easy to decide which tutors might best fit a student's needs by assigning badges to tutors who are trained or certified by their institutions, such as High GPA or Tutor Essential Trained.
School districts can opt-in at no cost to have a TMS site built for their community that boasts a collection of tutors chosen specifically for their students. School districts can choose to allow local certified teachers to work as tutors on the platform. School districts can create vouchers with local or federal funds to support specific student groups by providing tutoring hours. TMS hosts a data dashboard for districts or school administrators with many customizations and tools to monitor teacher and student usage.
Tutor Matching Service has developed a 100% free online tutoring platform called GoBoard (www.GoBoard.com), the platform for all online TMS-booked sessions. TMS creates unique links to session-specific GoBoard rooms, giving tutors and students easy access to a workspace that saves their progress for future sessions. We establish a tutoring program in each school district led by high school students that match high school student tutors to middle school and elementary school tutees.
Frequency: TbT tutoring programs will meet for 2-4 60-minute sessions per week.
Group Size: Consistent, leveled small groups are limited to 5 students with similar academic needs.
Personnel: Small groups are led by the same Teacher Tutor for the duration of the program, allowing for relationship building and responsive instruction. All Teacher Tutors are credentialed or experienced, professional educators with extensive classroom teaching experience, related degrees, and training in culturally responsive instruction.
Measurement: Programs are anchored around formative assessments to identify key skills and monitor progress.
Curriculum: The tutoring program is aligned to school programming and needs, allowing for rigor, continuity, and alignment to state standards.
TbT designs programs consultatively by meeting with school and district staff to determine student counts, grade levels, subject areas to serve, and scheduling. TbT then spends time before the tutoring program launches to determine leveled student groupings and focus skills / standards based on student data, align content to school needs, and select and train Teacher Tutors with professional backgrounds that match the students they will serve. TbT designs the tutoring scope and sequence, plans lessons, and selects instructional materials based on unique student groups (grade level, focus skills, interests).
TbT implements skills-based tutoring aligned to applicable state standards. To ensure that all instruction is aligned to state standards and customized to school needs, TbT reviews the school’s curriculum and school-provided student academic data. TbT can also customize programming to specifically tie tutoring sessions to a school’s curriculum and the corresponding scope and sequence.
Tutorfly is a high-impact tutoring company powered by Kip McGrath Education Centres. We provide both in person and synchronous virtual tutoring sessions for K-12 students. Tutorfly is equipped with our own learning management system complete with full audio, video, screen-share, and chat capabilities. Within our platform, students can begin working with a tutor in a small group but can then be sent to a “breakout room” to work independently or individually with the tutor. We can fully integrate with most single sign-on and rostering providers to ensure data privacy of students and ease of access. We provide parents, teachers, and administrators easy access to monitor student progress with an online dashboard.
We offer tutoring in all core K-12 subjects typically in 30 or 60-minute sessions, 3 or more times per week. Our proprietary curriculum is used by tutors to complement classroom instruction and facilitate the development of individualized learning plans. Weekly reports emailed to teachers, parents, and administrators will document student progress. Tutorfly works closely with our school partners to accurately measure the impact of tutoring on student outcomes.
