HeyTutor's program vets, screens, and trains tutors directly from a district's community to serve students live, and in-person on their campus. Our inclusive Learning Gap Curriculum embraces extensive academic standards to provide students with a solid foundation across subjects. It often involves diagnostic assessments to identify learning gaps, followed by resources and activities aimed at closing those gaps and ensuring that all students can achieve the expected learning outcomes. Learning Bridge was created to help close the educational gap between children in foster care and their peers by providing one-on-one tutoring for kids who are struggling in school. The program began in August 2020. In February 2021 the nonprofit Learning Bridge that was created to sustain and grow the program. Our target demographic is youth in foster care in Kindergarten to 12th grade in Travis, Hays and Williamson Counties.
