Our program teaches phonetic skills and learning strategies appropriate for all elementary reading programs. Each lesson plan provides step-by-step instructions allowing anyone, from classroom volunteers to reading teachers, to work with a student without preparation. Because of its accessibility, our reading curriculum fits well in any school reading group, one-to-one instruction, or community learning center.

Gateway begins with a diagnostic assessment to determine exactly where students' skill levels are. Then we have a goal-setting session to develop the high-impact tutoring program that is designed to bring the skill levels up to where they need to be and to continue them from there.
The Halifax Helpers offers three free, virtual tutoring programs. The first is an Academic stream that supports students in all school subjects. The TMS platform helps students connect with the right tutors at the right price. TMS is parent-friendly, allowing parents to search for tutors based on geographical location and subject. With TMS, families can schedule tutors online at the time that works best for them, even last minute. TMS makes it easy to decide which tutors might best fit a student's needs by assigning badges to tutors who are trained or certified by their institutions, such as High GPA or Tutor Essential Trained.
School districts can opt-in at no cost to have a TMS site built for their community that boasts a collection of tutors chosen specifically for their students. School districts can choose to allow local certified teachers to work as tutors on the platform. School districts can create vouchers with local or federal funds to support specific student groups by providing tutoring hours. TMS hosts a data dashboard for districts or school administrators with many customizations and tools to monitor teacher and student usage.
Tutor Matching Service has developed a 100% free online tutoring platform called GoBoard (www.GoBoard.com), the platform for all online TMS-booked sessions. GoBoard combines video conferencing, an interactive work canvas, and educational tools like a graphing calculator, an equation editor, molecular bonds creator, and much more. TMS creates unique links to session-specific GoBoard rooms, giving tutors and students easy access to a workspace that saves their progress for future sessions. With this continuous learning environment, tutors and students can build on past learning together.

We establish a tutoring program in each school district led by high school students that match high school student tutors to middle school and elementary school tutees.

VIPTeacher provides K-12 online education for a community of around 75,000 experienced tutors, predominantly in the U.S. and Canada. Using the Admin Portal, LEAs can create a program, indicating timing, frequency, number of students, grade levels, etc. Through the platform’s portal, tutors can indicate availability, view class schedules, and receive class reminders.
A Yancy Life brings an innovative blended math, science, and reading assistance program that combines classroom instruction with computer-aided learning. Study Island, a Web-based standards mastery program, is the basis of Yancy's instruction in English/Language Arts (ELA), Math and Science. While each student is given log in credentials, and Study Island is, in itself, a full on-line instructional program for individual learning, student use of Study Island is limited during daily instruction. Instead, Yancy staff uses Study Island lessons and assessments for the basis of their primary mode of instruction -- rich face-to-face 1:1 and small group instruction. The Texas version of Study Island is aligned to the standards in Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Subjects targeted for this program are the Reading strand of English and Language Arts, Science and Mathematics, for grades 1-12. In its instruction for pre-kindergarten level, Yancy will focus primarily on the Emergent Literacy (Reading) and Mathematics skill domains, from the Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines.
