Tutoring Advisory Group

The Tutoring Advisory Group, developed in partnership with the National Education Association (NEA), provides critical educator perspectives in the development of The National Student Support Accelerator’s (Accelerator) tools, technical assistance, materials, and communications. Research shows that to be successful, high-impact tutoring programs must be a positive supplement to existing core instruction – supportive of educator efforts, rather than an additional burden to teachers. The Accelerator aims to establish strong partnerships with current educators to ensure that its resources and support are relevant and useful.

The Accelerator received almost 500 applications for 10 positions. Advisory Group members are members of the NEA selected for their leadership and commitment to high-quality, equitable learning opportunities for all students:
