Monica Lee

Monica Lee is a Senior Research Associate at Stanford University. A quantitative researcher by training, Monica oversees the strategic alignment of research-related operations & processes at NSSA. Her research interests include behavioral science interventions in education, as well as examining non-cognitive factors such as absenteeism and social-emotional learning skills using experimental and quasi-experimental methods. Beyond the NSSA, Monica also manages Susanna Loeb's research practice partnership with San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD).

Monica holds a PhD in Educational Policy and a MA in Economics from Stanford University, an EdM in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a BS in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. Her background as a first-generation college student and English Learner informs her work and scholarly interests.
