We offer online 1-on-1 and small group sessions in any subject, primarily reading and math. We typically host biweekly 1-hour sessions with a personalized pairing with a tutor. We offer 2 free hour-long trial sessions to any new members. We also offer a scholarship fund that anyone can donate to and helps cover the costs of students in need.
This database includes an initial set of organizations that offer tutoring, technology platforms or academic interventions along with relevant information if available. This is not meant to be an inclusive list, but a starting point. We welcome additional organizations to join the database by completing this form.

- Interventions offer materials (e.g., an instructional scope and sequence, placement assessment, progress monitoring tools) that are used by a tutoring program, but do not offer tutoring directly.
This database is intended for Districts, States or nonprofits to identify potential tutoring partners, for potential tutors to identify potential employers and for tutoring organizations to have a clearer understanding of the landscape and to identify interventions that might be useful to their programs, if needed.

Varsity Tutors was founded in 2007 to help make high-quality tutoring from subject-matter expert tutors more accessible. Varsity Tutors for Schools was launched in 2021 to positively impact students through large-scale high-dosage tutoring models that are built for district-wide scale. The company has worked with more than 500 school districts to implement customized tutoring programs via timely, efficient, and efficacious implementations, with high-dosage tutoring programs administered based on the criteria established by EdResearch and the National Bureau of Economic Research. In the past year alone, more than 5 million hours of live, 2-way, video-based intensive instruction has been delivered through Varsity Tutors’ proprietary Live Learning Platform.
Wiz Kid Learning is an online education platform specializing in live online and asynchronous immersive courses in STEM subjects, including coding, game design, AI, animation, and mathematics for youth. Accredited by Cognia and WASC, our platform provides a curriculum crafted to ignite curiosity, boost digital literacy, and encourage social interaction through hands-on learning and real-world projects. A significant focus of our curriculum is on enhancing numerical skills and critical thinking, crucial for developing adept problem solvers and confident, lifelong learners. Our program integrates elements of high-impact tutoring by ensuring equity, safety, cohesion, and delivering instruction through consistent, culturally competent tutors who are skilled in content. With a strong commitment to educational confidence, our courses are designed to make students feel smart and excited about learning, fostering an environment where learning is seen as an enjoyable and ongoing journey. We believe that small group learning, personalized tutoring, and education should be accessible to all students, regardless of their background. Our programs, designed with small group settings, employ research-based, data-driven methodologies and high-quality materials, aligning with the seven foundational elements of high-impact tutoring. This inclusive approach accommodates students with various learning differences, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive across a broad spectrum of disciplines.

To be included, interventions must: 1) have a randomized control trial or quasi-experimental study, 2) that produced an effect size of +0.20 or greater OR 3) have particularly high-quality instructional materials but do not yet have RCT or QES research.
