The Family and Caregiver Tutoring Advisory Group

The Family and Caregiver Tutoring Advisory Group (FACT Advisory), formed by the National Student Support Accelerator (NSSA), seeks to establish strong partnerships with families and caregivers to increase parent engagement within high-impact tutoring programs. This group provides critical family and caregiver perspectives in the development of our tools, materials, and communications.

Members participate in quarterly group meetings and input sessions to:

  • Learn about tutoring research and how it can positively support student learning
  • Provide input on NSSA materials and ideas for connecting families with high-impact tutoring
  • Build relationships with other parents and caregivers committed to similar work in their communities
  • Positively influence academic opportunities for children through high-impact tutoring
