Step Up Tutoring's mission is to improve student success through academic support and mentorship in under-resourced communities.

Program Description

Step Up Tutoring is a non-profit organization that recruits, screens, trains, matches and supports volunteer tutors with elementary school students for twice per week online tutoring and mentoring. Tutoring currently focuses on English Language Arts and math.

Family Engagement Description

Step Up hosts family orientations to ensure families are clear what to expect from the program and how to best support their students. Step Up shares weekly Step Up Tutoring updates with the families and provides opportunities for family feedback via surveys and focus groups. Additionally, we try to engage families and build relationships through fun events such as Family Games Nights.
