  • Tutoring programs are those organizations that offer one-on-one and/or small group tutoring directly to students, either in-person, virtually, or through both modes of delivery. 
  • Technology platforms are technology platforms that facilitate tutoring programs.
  • Interventions offer materials (e.g., an instructional scope and sequence, placement assessment, progress monitoring tools) that are used by a tutoring program, but do not offer tutoring directly.  

This database is intended for Districts, States or nonprofits to identify potential tutoring partners, for potential tutors to identify potential employers and for tutoring organizations to have a clearer understanding of the landscape and to identify interventions that might be useful to their programs, if needed.

Air Tutors is your district’s online partner in academic achievement. Our interactive experience developed long before the pandemic and, within the prestigious private school and boarding school arena, we polished research driven tutoring and mentoring service with the goal of helping all students reach their full potential with high quality, personalized instruction. Beyond their academic brilliance, our educators have personalities that shine through the web, and we utilize novel teaching techniques that make lectures come alive for students, captivating their engagement and attention.

Our educator to student ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:15, with our sweet spot in K-12 occurring in groups between 1:1 and 1:5. Our programs take place before, during (Push-In intervention), and after school hours, as well as on the weekends. We have tutors available seven days a week, and while most of our tutoring sessions are scheduled, all participating students can schedule on-demand sessions as well.


All About Learning Press provides scripted, open-and-go programs developed for busy parents, teachers, and tutors who want to teach reading and spelling in the most effective way possible. Our Orton-Gillingham based programs are easy to teach and easy to learn!


Families of students that require individualized supports have an uphill battle in determining what their child needs to succeed in school and how to go about getting it. Likewise, schools often face barriers in providing effective services to students with specialized learning plans: services can quickly become costly and resources are limited. Beacon professionals have been on both sides of the IEP table and are dedicated to creating partnerships between parents and the school in order to maximize support for the student.

This includes: step-by-step guidance, professional learning and development, assessment, robust whole child curriculum for SEL and wellness, enrichment activities, rich content, and support along the way.


Big Sky Tutoring is a local tutoring service based in Bozeman, Montana. We serve K-12 students by providing additional, personalized instruction to supplement their instruction at school. Our tutors work through classroom materials with their students to determine learning gaps and close them. We provide one-on-one tutoring after-school services in our centrally located tutoring center. Clients are able to utilize our services in a flexible manner. For some families, they may require 2-3 sessions to prepare for exams. For others, we provide long-term, ongoing student support, with the goals of increasing student understanding, improving academic outcomes, and supporting the development of students' self-confidence and independence.

The Community of Volunteer Educators (COVE) is a volunteer-run public service organization dedicated to providing tutoring services and educational enrichment experiences to communities in need across NYC.

Connect Me provides free online tutoring and mentoring services to students who fit at least one of these criteria:
1) They are in a low income family (less than $60,000 yearly household income)
2) At least one parent/guardian of the student is an essential worker (as defined by the NCSL)
3) The student is in virtual/hybrid school due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students meet with their tutor at least once per week on a secured and monitored Zoom link, and have access to additional resources such as office hours.


One-on-one tutoring for students who need help with school math or school-level computer science.

HeyTutor's program vets, screens, and trains tutors directly from a district's community to serve students live, and in-person on their campus. Our inclusive Learning Gap Curriculum embraces extensive academic standards to provide students with a solid foundation across subjects. Brown University's online tutoring program is a free resource and service for all students of current partner K-12 schools offered through the Annenberg Institute, the Swearer Center and Tutor Matching Services. The Annenberg Institute's mission is rooted in conviction that improved educational equality leads to enriched opportunities for children and youth, ultimately contributing to more just and flourishing societies. Coupled with the Swearer Center's foundational components: community engagement, engaged scholarship, and social innovation, we strongly believe this program will have positive implications including higher graduation rates, higher rates of matriculation into a four-year university, higher grades on standardized testing, more positive attitude towards school and life, and higher self-esteem.


We have successively provided reputable tutoring and test-preparation services to a wide demographic of students and programs for over 10 years. Working with other programs has allowed us to collect extensive data and insight which we have used to create individualized strategies needed to see improvement and achieve student success. We take a comprehensive approach on learning which is constructed through the facilitation of engaging instruction as well as collaboration with teachers, schools, and experienced instructors with proven track records. TutorX is a free tutoring exchange platform created for students, by students.
